Trevallyn CourtyardThe 18.5 acre site for the new Hawkesbury District Health Service was acquired by resumption from the Dean family's property. The 70 acre property, called "Trevallyn", was purchased by the Dean family from Richard Ridge, a well know resident of Windsor, in 1886. Under its owner, William Hessel Dean, "Trevallyn" was know as a model farm and racehorse establishment. "Trevallyn" hosted many open air concerts in aid of the Wesleyan Church and local cricket and football clubs. William Dean was Mayor of Windsor when he died in 1931.In May 1996, prior to the Health Service's commissioning, Mrs Lorna Dean, along with members of her family, planted a flowering plum tree in "Trevallyn" Courtyard.
