- To promote and conserve the health of the local community through the provision of appropriate health services including health education and promotion services, disease prevention services and treatment services;
- To provide services which meet the community's requirements;
- To establish and maintain an appropriate balance in the provision and use of resources between all levels of health care, including primary, secondary, personal, public, acute and continuing care;
- To ensure effective co-ordination of the planning, delivery and evaluation of health services between public, private and voluntary sectors within the Hawkesbury local government area;
- To deliver efficient and effective health services with a framework of quality improvement focusing on customers' needs; and
- To monitor the health status of the Hawkesbury community in order to determine if improvements are occurring in overall health and health status.
