Private Hospital Care

Welcome to Hawkesbury District Health Service (HDHS) - providing comprehensive healthcare services to the community with excellence and compassion.

HDHS is two hospitals under one roof—a Private Hospital which also has a contract to provide public patient services. 

Patients who have private insurance can access our private facilities outside the confines of the normal public hospital regulations.  Every patient who chooses to use their private insurance creates a space for their neighbour (who does not have private insurance) to receive care as a public patient.

Hawkesbury Private Hospital is located in a modern, purpose built building, with state of the art facilities and equipment.  As a Teaching Hospital for the University of Notre Dame, our focus is on excellence of care, and innovation in care delivery.
