Smoke Free: Inside, Outside, Everywhere!

In the interest of patient well being, Hawkesbury District Health Service (HDHS) is a smoke free organisation. This includes all areas of the hospital & community health sites for staff, clients and visitors including off-site areas that are leased by the hospitals & service providers.

To assist patients in meeting the smoke free requirements during their stay at HDHS and to decrease the effects of nicotine withdrawal, NRT patches and NRT lozenges will be made available to all nicotine dependant inpatients.

Visitors are asked to abstain from smoking whilst on the premises: Inside, Outside, Everywhere! Barley Sugars or NRT lozenges may be of assistance to abstaining from smoking whist visiting HDHS.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) products are availble at reduced prices for smokers who want to quit. Please see your pharmacist or GP.
