Hawkesbury District Health Service Goals

To promote and conserve the health of the local community through the provision of appropriate health services including health education and promotion services, disease prevention services and treatment services;
To provide services which meet the community's requirements;
To establish and maintain an appropriate balance in the provision and use of resources between all levels of health care, including primary, secondary, personal, public, acute and continuing care;
To ensure effective co-ordination of the planning, delivery and evaluation of health services between public, private and voluntary sectors within the Hawkesbury local government area;
To deliver efficient and effective health services with a framework of quality improvement focusing on customers' needs; and
To monitor the health status of the Hawkesbury community in order to determine if improvements are occurring in overall health and health status.
