Men's Health
HDHS recognises that in order to improve the health of the community generally, it is important to improve the health of men (and boys).
Hawkesbury District Health Service has shown it's commitment to Men's Health by employing a full time Men's Health coordinator; the only one in NSW!
Men's Health at HDHS offers one on one counselling, education, health promotion and runs groups to support men within the Hawkesbury area.
Common referrals to this service are for medical information, support for men going through separation and CSA struggles, stress, well-being, fatherhood and grand-parenting, other general and gender specific issues. HDHS recognises that women play a part in men's health, so both men & women are welcome to access this service. Our goal is to give men and boys the best opportunity to reach and maintain optimal health.
If you would like to refer yourself or friend to Men's Health please ring HDHS on 45605714 to arrange a referral to Men's Health.

Bloke's Day 2011
Our Annual Men's Health Festival was again a huge success. Celebrated every June to herald National Men's Health Week, Bloke's Day aims to get men thinking about healthy lifestyles (mental, physical & emotional health) while enjoying 'big boys toys' and plenty of information stalls at the same time.
